Laura Ingalls Wilder through master impersonator Laura Keyes!

Hear the real history of Laura Ingalls Wilder as depicted in a one-woman show with Laura F. Keyes. Keyes is a master at interpreting history and bringing the past to life. With Keyes, the audience will discover the times, places, and people who inspired Laura Ingalls Wilder’s wonderful books.

Join us in the Community Room of the Independence Public Library Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm. All ages will enjoy this presentation that is free and open to public. Enriching the Lives of our Elders Outreach Component:
Keyes will be presenting Laura Ingalls Wilder in Song at Lexington Estate Sunday, September 24th at 6:30 pm; at ABCM East Monday, September 25th at 10:00 am; and at Prairie Hills Monday, September 25th at 2:00 pm. In this presentation, the audience will hear Laura’s story through the songs she and her family loved to sing out on the prairie. Learn folk songs from long ago, and discover why Pa’s fiddle meant so much to Laura.

All of these presentations are free and open to the public.
