Mike Zahm

Are you ready to hear stories and songs about dogs that stink, invisible chickens, hot dogs, crickets, and liver and onions? Join Mike Zahm at 9:30 am on July 18th at the Independence Public Library for an interactive morning of fun. Zahm is a teller of tall tales, poet, and songwriter. His stories and music are weaved together on guitar, banjo, dobro, harmonica, and occasionally, spoons, bones, or a washboard.  Everyone is welcome to attend library programs at IPL; no library card is necessary. As part of the Summer Reading Program, children will receive an incentive toward prizes for attending. For more information about this and other free library programs for all ages this summer, call the library at 334-2470, or email
