Does your child swim, enjoy competing, meeting new friends, and having fun in the water... Then the Independence Stingrays Swim Team is for YOU!!! The Stingrays Swim Team is open to all children between the ages of 6-18 years old who are able to swim 25 meters without stopping and unassisted. In order to help ensure the safety of the swimmers, a try-out has been implemented for participants to demonstrate their ability to swim the required 25 meters. The swim team season typically runs June- July with meets held against other community swim teams within the Big Six Swim Club. Independence Stingrays Swim Team members will be bussed to out of town weekday meets (not Saturday Meets) (parents will be required to bring their child home after the meet as the bus will only take the children to the meet and not home after) by the Independence Community School District. Independence Stingrays Swim Team practices are typically held on weekdays in the early mornings through the season. Swim Meets are scheduled on various nights through the week as well as some weekends during the season. Independence Stingrays Swim Team 2022 practices & meets: TBD
