Typical Season: Approximately Memorial Day- mid August/ All information subject to change at the discretion of the Independence Parks & Recreation Department.
Monday & Tuesday

Season Pool Passes
Purchase pool passes at the Falcon Civic Center from April 1st- the Friday prior to Memorial Day and at the Aquatic Center as of our opening day.

Family Aquatic Center Season Pass Requirements
1. Family Members defined as those claimed on your taxes & reside at the same address.
2. You may add 1 day-care provider/ babysitter to your family membership for an additional $10. NOTE: This person needs to be an actual care-giver, NOT just a friend or a "Plus 1" Thank you.
Aquatic Center Closure Information
Aquatic Center Closure Information may be obtained by calling the Aquatic Center at 319-334-7464 or the Parks & Rec Dept. at 319-334-6711. It is always a good idea to call the Aquatic Center prior to making the trip in, especially if traveling from out of town. Aquatic Center Closure Policies
The Aquatic Center MAY close early for any one or more of the following reasons:
1. Air temperature falls below 70 degrees and/or we have less than 20 swimmers in the water for 2 hours.
2. Threatening weather in the area.
3. Scheduled special events, for example home swim meets, swim lessons, and special programming swims.
4. Chemicals being added in the pool due to water safety and/or incident in the pool

Our wonderful facility includes 8,500 sq ft of surface area, a lily pad water walk, zero depth entry with kiddie slide and spray features, 2 tower water slides (must be 48" to ride), a one meter diving board, small drop slide in the deep end, 6 race lanes for swim meets with one lane dedicated to adult lap only during open swim, party shelter with lights and electricity (available to rent), ADA chair lift, shade structures, lounge chairs, shaded concessions picnic area, bath house with showers, changing areas, restrooms, concessions, a friendly atmosphere.
